Since that Jack Dorseycreated it in March 2006 and launched it in July of that year, the network has gained popularity worldwide and is estimated to haveover 200 million users, generating 65 million tweets a day and handles more than 800,000 search requests diarias. It has been dubbed the "SMS of Internet".
